안녕하세요. 개인전 소식을 전해드립니다.
그간 ‘블랙베일’이라는 시리즈로 엮어 온 작업들을 금천구 아트센터예술의시간에서 선보입니다. 개인적으로 기록되지 못하는 이미지와 텍스트에 관심을 가지고 있습니다.
이번 전시는 사적인 이야기에서 출발했지만, 이주와 타자의 경계에 있는 이들, 어쩌면 저를 비롯한 ‘예술가’라 불리는 이들에 관한 이야기일 수도 있겠습니다. 동시에 예술의 말하기가 가능한 윤리적인 방식은 무엇일까를 고민하는 지점의 작업들이기도 합니다.
전시명 ‘보이스 오버(Voice Over)’는 화면에 보이지 않는 사람이 해설, 대사, 설명 등을 덧붙여 화면에 보이는 것에 추가적인 의미를 전달하는 표현 방식을 말합니다.

I’m pleased to share the news of my solo exhibition.
The works from the series *Black Veil*, which I have been developing over time, will be presented at Art Center The Moment in Geumcheon District.
I have always been inspired by images and texts that resist personal documentation — that cannot be fully recorded.
Although this exhibition begins from a personal narrative, it may also speak about those who exist along the boundaries of migration and alterity — perhaps even about artists, including myself, who inhabit those in-between spaces.
At the same time, these works are inspired by the question of what ethical forms of "speaking through art" might be possible.
The title *Voice Over* refers to an unseen voice that provides narration, dialogue, or explanation to what appears on screen — an expressive device that adds layered meaning to visible images.
As the year draws to a close, I invite you to visit the exhibition and take time to trace images through various voices and sounds.
Your interest and attention would be deeply appreciated.
Further news about the book *Voice Over*, sharing the same title as the exhibition, will be announced soon.
